Developing a POP ordering system for HP

A more agile and less expensive EMEA Point-of-Purchasing ordering system was needed and it was needed quickly as the supplier running the current system just went bankrupt. 

The first step was to understand what type of POP was really needed by the countries and what features the new system needed. 

 

The next step was to develop a design spec for the system, get buy-in on the shortened list of POP materials and create a project plan with budget and timing.

 

I then sourced the system developer for the new front-end ordering system and sourced a warehouse for the POP picking and packing.

The system went live within a month and saved HP 40% in reduced administration fees and lower warehousing costs.
